Sandy has been a plantsman since early childhood when he helped his grandfather in his large victorian rock garden in Wilmington, Delaware. His grandfather passed to him his knowledge of many garden plants and time tested ways of propagation, pruning, feeding, protecting, and caring for many of the plants that grow best in our area.

Sandy broadended his gardening horizons to include water gardening at the age of eight and has actively had water gardens and fish ponds for over fourty years. He had had every conceivable problem and success in this area and can help you with many water gardening questions and problems.

Sandy recently attended continuing education courses at Longwood Gardens and has successfully earned the prestegious Longwood Certificate of Merit. Sandy serves as one of the Gateway Garden Center Garden Coaches so come talk with Sandy and beneft from his extensive knowledge of plants and plant culture.
